Privacy Policy

Mama's Day is a daily planner for moms. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your plans live on your phone, we only send what's needed to plan your day, and we never sell your information or show you ads.
Mama's Day is made by Joseph Keegan in Crystal Lake, Illinois ("we", "us"). Questions? Email hello@mamasdayapp.com.
What stays on your phone
Your list, your timeline, your repeating things, the answers you give in setup (like your name, your kids' names and ages, and your typical day), and short notes from your recent planning chats are stored on your iPhone. Your home screen widget and reminders are created on your phone from that same information. Deleting the app deletes it.
If you sign in (optional)
You can sign in with Apple to back up your plan. Apple shares a private ID for your account, your name (once), and either your email or a private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email." While you're signed in, the app saves a copy of your app data (the same things listed above) to your account in our database, so you can get it back on a new phone. Only you can read your backup. You can delete your account and backup any time in the app under Settings โ Account & backup โ Delete my account.
What's sent to plan your day
The planning chat is powered by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. Before your first chat, the app asks for your OK. When you use the chat, the app sends our server what's needed to plan your day:
- what's on your list and timeline today,
- what you type or tap in the chat (and short notes from chats earlier in the week), and
- a summary of your setup answers.
Our server passes this to Anthropic to write the planner's reply and sends the reply back to your phone. We don't keep the content of your chats. Anthropic doesn't use it to train its AI models, and may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring, as described in Anthropic's privacy policy. If you don't give the OK, the planning chat stays off and everything else still works.
What our server keeps
- A usage count. For each account (or, if you're not signed in, each phone, identified by a random ID the app creates), we keep how many planning requests were made this month and what they cost us, so we can keep the service fair and affordable.
- Basic server logs (like the time of a request and an IP address), kept briefly to keep the service running and secure.
- Your account and backup, if you sign in (see above), until you delete them.
- Waitlist emails. If you join the waitlist on this website, we keep your email to tell you when the app launches. That's all we use it for.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app whether your subscription is active.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information.
- We don't show ads or use advertising or tracking tools.
- We don't read your email, photos, contacts or location.
Who helps us run Mama's Day
We use a few service providers, only for running the app: Anthropic (the planning AI), Vercel (our web server), Supabase (our database, for accounts, backups, the usage count and the waitlist) and Apple (the App Store, subscriptions and notifications). Each one handles information only to provide its service to us.
Children
Mama's Day is made for parents, not for children, and it isn't directed to children under 13. You may enter your kids' first names and ages so the planner can plan around their schedules; that information is handled as described above. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
- Turn the planning chat, reminders or the widget on or off at any time.
- Delete the app to delete everything stored on your phone.
- Email hello@mamasdayapp.com to ask what we hold about you or to delete it (including your waitlist email). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Changes
When the app changes how it uses information, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
